Noles Photos Web Site

I first starting taking pictures when I had my first instamatic camera that I used when I when to the 1969 Boy Scout National Jamboree in Idaho. Our group flew up but the bus ride back was when I shot all my film up coming across country. I still fine some of old photos from time to time and am surprised how well the pictures look. Now days I shot with a Nikon camera with Nikon lens. The first digital camera I had was a Kodak that I got as a promo from one of the companies I did business with. We used it to boost sales by taking some of the first pictures of items to put on the company eBay site.

Over the last few years I have taken hundreds of pictures. It has gotten to the point that people see me and if I do not have the camera in hand, they wonder what is wrong. I have taken a number of pictures around the City of Opelika. A photo was published in the winter edition of The East Alabama Magazine.

For the last two summers, I have taken pictures for the Opelika Parks & Recreation Department’s “Summer Swing”. These pictures can be seen at Opelika P & R Photo Gallery. The City of Opelika Public Relations Department published pictures from the 2008 Opelika Christmas Parade on the www.opelika.org Photo Gallery 2008 Christmas Parade.

So my passion for taking pictures has been carried over to this web site where I can share God’s great artist work to the world. The beauty of this world if just seen from your eyes can be only enjoyed by you, but if you see a picture it can be shared with others many times.

This year, 2009, in Opelika, it has been one of change in the weather. One change was the snow we had this year on March 1st and you can also click on the link above to see more snow pictures. Spring is here now and Opelika's azaleas are in full bloom. Visit Opelika's Azalea trail!

Not far from Opelika is a place at one of the Georgia State Parks called Providence Canyon State Park. It is located near Lumpkin, Ga and here you can see a number of canyons, some up to 150 feet deep. Great color on the sides from the sandy soil of the canyons. Great place to hike!

Here are the pictures from the day trip.
